How Many Lines of Symmetry does a Rhombus Have?

TopA Rhombus is a type of a quadrilateral which has its all sides of equal length. We can say that the all squares are rhombus but all rhombuses are not a Square, because a square has all its angle as right angles or all the angles are of 90 degree but in a rhombus two pairs of angles are equal. A rhombus is also a type of Parallelogram. In the parallelogram the opposite side pairs are of equal length. And in a rhombus all the side are of equal length so its follow all the properties of a parallelogram.

Now we see how many lines of Symmetry does a rhombus have?
A rhombus has two lines of symmetry because two lines pass through the corners of a rhombus.

There are some properties of rhombus which are as follows:
Base – In a rhombus we can assume as a base of rhombus. If we want to find the area of a rhombus then we have to use the Altitude of a rhombus.

Altitude – The perpendicular distance from the base to the opposite side of a rhombus is altitude of a rhombus.

Area – There are many methods for finding the area of a rhombus but the most important method is:
Area = (base * altitude),

The other method is diagonal method in which:
The area of a rhombus if we have the length of diagonals, the area is the half of the diagonals.
The formula is:
Area = d1 d2,
                2
Where, ‘d1’ and ‘d2’ are the length of two diagonals.
When we use Trigonometry method then the formula for finding the area of rhombus is:
Area = s2sin A,
Where’s’ is the length of any one side,
‘A’ is the interior angle,
Sin is sine function.
This is all the method through which we can find out the area of a rhombus in different ways.
Diagonals – The diagonal are perpendicular bisector to each other.
