A circle is drawn on a sheet of paper using a Compass having radius of any length. As we know that angle made by circle is 3600, divide the circle into five equal parts by dividing 360 by 5, we get 72. Thus each sector of circle has 72 degrees, by taking the protractor at the center of circle mark a Point 'A' at 72 degrees. Draw a straight line joining the center and point A.
Similarly mark 72 degrees from the line drawn. Now we get 3 points, mark them as B, C, and D points. Now join these points to center of circle using scale. Thus circle is divided into five equal parts. So, whenever we want to divide a circle into ‘n’ equal parts then divide 360 degrees by 'n' to get degree of each sector. This is the procedure for dividing the circle into equal parts.
