Cuboids are just like a box or its shape is just like a Solid box. In the cuboids there are six flat sides are present. The entire angles which are present in the cuboids are Right Angle and the shape of a Cuboid is three dimensional. The properties of cuboid are:

1. The shape of a cuboid is rectangular.

2. The structure of the cuboid is three dimensional and solid.

3. The cuboid is also known as rectangular Prism.

4. The angles in cuboid are right angles or all the sides are perpendicular to each other. All lines contain 90 degree angle.

5. The faces which are opposite are equal in measurement.

6. The lines which are parallel are of equal length.

7. In cuboid there are six faces, twelve lines and eight vertices. We can also say that the cuboid is a type of polyhedron.

Now we will see how to find the volume of a cuboid?

When finding the volume of a cuboid we have to follow some of the steps:

Step1: When we find the volume of a cuboid, it is necessary to know the value of height, width and length of a cuboid.

Step2: When we have the value of height, width and length of a cuboid then we easily find out the volume of a cuboid.

Volume of a cuboid = height * width * length,

Or in short form,

V = hwl;

Let’s see an example for finding the volume of a cuboid.

Example: Find the volume of a cuboid where height is 10 inch, width 7 inch and length 15 inch.

Solution: we know that volume of a cuboid is:

Volume of a cuboid = height * width * length,

Given, height = 10 inch;

Width = 7 inch;

And length = 15 inch;

Putting the value in the formula

V = hwl;

V = 10 * 7 * 15

V = 1050 inch3

Volume of a cuboid is 1050 inch3.
